Small Group Test Prep Classes

Our small group classes are designed to effectively teach the pertinent material in a small-group setting to keep things individualized as much as possible while still allowing for collaborative learning.

Why choose group classes for test prep?

  • Group classes may be better for your student if they enjoy learning alongside others and hearing different perspectives.
  • If they don't need the flexibility of 1-on-1 tutoring, group classes offer a consistent schedule with guaranteed weekly sessions for the duration of the class.
  • Group classes are great for those students who feel motivated by a shared learning environment instead of working with a tutor 1-on-1.
  • If your student is looking for a broader, yet still comprehensive, review of test content and strategies, then group classes offer all of the content without as much focused topic review commonly needed with 1-on-1 tutoring.
  • Group classes also work great for students who are comfortable working at a set pace with a group and who enjoy a classroom-style experience with discussion and collaboration.

Summer/Fall Test Prep Class Schedules

act class:  designed for the sept. 19 test

📚What:
  • A comprehensive, in-person class covering all aspects of the paper ACT.  Also included are a diagnostic test and two mock tests to check for progress, as well as a summary of each emailed ~1 week after the test.
  • We'll cover all of the tested grammar concepts and rhetorical strategies for the English section; go over skimming and speed reading techniques and general reading section strategies; and do a thorough review of the most commonly tested math concepts while also reviewing less commonly tested concepts as requested.
  • Because the science section is now optional, not everyone will choose to take that section, so our main class will only focus on the English, math, and reading sections.  Science review will be available as an optional add-on once sessions move to the weekend when school starts.
  • To keep instruction individualized, this class is capped at 4 students for our first summer.

📅When:
  • Mondays and Wednesdays 10-11:30am from June 29 - July 29, moving to 2-hr sessions on Saturdays once school starts. Full schedule is linked below.
  • Diagnostic testing is on June 20 & 27 (whichever date works best for you), and Mock testing on and August 8 and September 12 (can be rescheduled on request).

📍Where:
  • In person at 29 E Wright St, Downtown Pensacola

💵Costs:
  • $725 for the main 25-hr class
  • *optional add-on 1: $150 for 3 extra 2-hr classes to prepare for the Oct. 17 ACT
  • *optional add on 2:  $150 for 6 extra 1-hr classes to prepare for the science section
